Opiate Addiction Can Ruin Your Life
Opiates are a group of opium based drugs which are produced in a laboratory. Opium is a derivative of poppy seeds. Opiates are also known as narcotics. Narcotic pain medication is used throughout the world on patients of recent surgeries, injuries, cancer and other ailments. While narcotics provide immense relief to many who suffer from pain, opiate addiction is one of the most powerful addictions.
Unfortunately, teenagers and adults across the country become addicted to opiates very quickly and easily. Opiates not only minimize or negate pain; they also produce a euphoric feeling, or a high. This is, of course, the lure to many. Opiates also cause drowsiness and tranquilization. Opiates are used around the world to treat many major medical issues. Drugs like Morphine, Oxycodone, Demerol and DIlaudid are used to bring relief to those who cannot be served any other way.

The History of Acupuncture
Acupuncture comes from two Latin words namely “acus” which means needle in English and “pungere” which means prick. Its history originated in China more than 2000 years ago and has evolved into various forms.
Some of the techniques of acupuncture do not even use needles anymore. Vibrating objects, ultrasound and even the fingers of the practitioner have taken some of the work to make the person feel better.
