Benign tumors grow slowly over time and do not spread to other tissues in the body. Malignant tumors are the type of tumors that are cancerous. It can spread to other parts of the body. Malignant tumors can cause death by reproducing erratically and destroying the surrounding tissues and spreading to other organs in the body.
